The R.A. Butler Prize

The R.A. Butler Prize是一项论文竞赛，可由Year 12或the Lower 6th学生参加。参赛者须从三一学院每年公布的论文题目列表中选择主题进行写作，并于8月提交。每位参赛者只能提交一篇论文。

该奖项是以剑桥大学前三一学院院长——Richard Austen Butler（或RA Butler）勋爵的名字命名的，Butler是英国著名的保守党政治家，曾担任过英国财政大臣和内政大臣，并被认为是英国最成功的财政大臣之一。1965年从政界退休后，Butler被任命为剑桥大学三一学院的院长。

该奖项由剑桥三一学院和剑桥大学政治与国际研究系联合举办，旨在鼓励对现代政治和世界事务感兴趣的学生考虑在大学学习政治、国际研究或相关学科。
