但就在这样的背景下，一条激动人心的消息如春风化雨，为无数国际生的留学之路带来了希望与光明——美国布朗大学宣布，自2025年秋季起，将对国际学生实施Need-Blind政策。计划募集1亿美元，确保该政策长期有效。这一举措将扩大学校招收来自各类背景的优秀学生的能力，使更多有才华的国际学生有机会接受世界顶尖的教育。
“什么是Need-blind”？
Need-Blind中文名词是“盲目招生”，即在录取过程中不会把学生是否申请经济援助考虑在内，学生是否申奖以及申请了多少奖助学金都不会影响录取。
同时，在学生录取后，还会提供全额按需补助，并不包含任何贷款。这个助学金政策可谓美国高校中最慷慨的政策之一。但是可惜的是，有的学校虽然采取need-blind，却明确表示“不针对100%学生，国际学生除外”。
目前，全美共有8所高校对国际学生实施Need-Blind政策，其中6所是综合性大学，2所是文理学院。在这里整理了这8所大学的Need-Blind申请要求，同学们可以研究每所学校的具体政策，了解申请流程和经济援助的细节，多申请几所实行Need-Blind政策的大学，增加录取机会。
