From the perspectives of employers, allowing employees to work from home is also beneficial, as it can reduce companies' spending on overheads and office rent. In addition to the reduction in costs, companies practicing remote work can gain flexibility in their recruitment and assessment process. Specifically, employers can hire the best candidates from a global talent pool, regardless of geographical location. They can also shift from the traditional assessment mechanism to one that focuses on the results of employees’ work instead of the amount of time they spend in the workplace.
