It is a fact that the younger individuals of this age prefer to spend their leisure time in shopping malls rather than getting involved in activities such as sports or musical groups. Due to the explanations provided in the following paragraphs, I believe this is an unpleasant trend.

For one, encouraging adolescents to take part in extracurricular activities like sports and the arts is a great way to promote their overall health. The arts and music energise the mind, while physical exercise builds strength. For instance, the students who participate in athletics maintain a better physique than their peers, who frequently shop around. A recent World Health Organization study found that young people who do not engage in either athletics or the arts are more likely to suffer from depression. Thus, music and athletics promote the well-being of adolescents.

For another, youth who participate in organised group activities like sports or music show markedly greater levels of creativity. Thus, as musicians and athletes, they become productive members of the community. However, the youthful population that frequents shopping malls has little positive to give to their own communities. Instead, they may progressively become a burden on society if they engage in illegal actions. Teenagers who congregate in shopping malls and other public places, for instance, may be susceptible to recruitment by a local criminal gang if they lack a mature mindset and adequate education. Therefore, the arts and sports aid adolescents in maintaining their focus throughout their lives.

In conclusion, I am a firm believer that children's physical and mental health, as well as their creativity, are benefited by participation in sports and the arts.
