Recently, there has been an upsurge in the number of office workers who engage in outdoor sports such as rock climbing, mountain biking, and scuba diving. This trend is most prevalent among younger, more energetic workers. Therefore, there are those who argue that the government should prohibit these activities, while others argue that individuals should be allowed to pursue their own interests. I personally find the second proposition to be more appealing.
Due to the exhilaration that can be derived from risky hobbies like hang gliding and mountain climbing, many individuals are willing to put their lives at risk to participate. It is likely that people do this in order to escape their sedentary lifestyle and engage in more exciting activities. By challenging the limits of their minds and bodies, they gain insight into the meaning of their lives, which contributes to their life advancement.
Moreover, owing to notable technological advancements and stricter government regulations, individuals can now actively participate in dangerous sports without endangering their lives. The majority of risky activities, such as scuba diving, are supported by theory and utilise cutting-edge technology. Before engaging in the activity, participants are required to receive expert instruction on how to use the required equipment and observe all safety precautions. When trying out activities that could be dangerous, participants will always have the support and guidance of instructors.
People would argue that participation in risky sports increases the likelihood of suffering an injury. Due to the physical preparation required for high-risk sports, participants with a history of mental illness or encephalopathy may put their health at risk. However, tragic occurrences can always be avoided if players take care of their own health and if organisations maintain their facilities appropriately.
In conclusion, Due to the thrill these activities provide and the safety precautions in place, I am confident that participation in dangerous sports should be permitted.
