The average standard of people's health is likely to be lower in the future than it is now.
To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement?
作文/Justin
Compared to the standard today, predict some people, the average person's health will deteriorate in the future. This is quite a bold statement, and I believe the opposite will be the case.
It is tempting to hold such a view. One worry is that many people today live on an unhealthy diet that is low in nutrients and high in saturated fat and sugar, leading to chronic diseases such as high blood pressure. Another often citedworry is that many jobs today are sedentary—as people work out less, they are more prone to health problems. These trends are believed to be dominant and will remain.
However, these worries are overblown, and people’s health will be further improved. For one thing, if history is any guide, the health of human beings has been improving steadily, and a trend reversal is nowhere to be seen. This is thanks largely to economic growth across the board, especially in developing countries. The poverty rate will further decline, meaning more people will have access to nutritious food and affordable medical services.
For another, medical research is evolving at a rate unseen before. Never in history has medicine been better understood, and the rich knowledge translates into more effective medicine and better medical care. As a result, people are better able to deal with severe diseases and can lead healthier and more dignified lives. Most importantly, there is little reason to believe that the trend will not continue into the future.
To sum up, people in the future will have higher living standards and benefit from advanced health technologies. Today's problems are real, but in no way should they cloud our judgment and make us pessimists.
