The values that we learn from our parents and family have greater influence on our future success than knowledge and skills we learn at school. To what extent do you agree or disagree?
建议思路:
Some peopleclaim that the foundational values instilled byparents and family members contribute more to future achievements than any expertise acquiredthrough formal education. However, I disagreewith their opinion. While the principles learned at home shape paths to success, technicalskills and knowledge gained through education are also essential for individuals’ accomplishments.
It isadmitted that core values learned from parentsand family not only serve as a guiding compass forlife but also act as a catalyst for long-term success, primarily through their influenceon character development and decision-making. Strong familyvalues foster resilience and a positive workethic, which in turn enhances students’interpersonal skills. Specifically, children who witness their parents' dedication and perseverance are more likelyto adopt these traits themselves. Additionally, families that prioritize communication and empathy nurtureindividuals who excel in building relationships, essential for effective networking andcollaboration in professional settings later in life. This foundation creates a support system that can significantly propel one’s career. Inaddition to awareness of collaboration, the moral principles instilled at home guide ethical decision-making. Individuals raisedwith a strong sense of integrity, resilience, andpositive work ethic are often perceived as trustworthy, so they tend tohave greater opportunities in both personal and career arenas.
On the otherhand, the cutting-edge knowledge and digital literacy acquired at school enhance personal capabilities and serve as critical factors in achievinglong-term success in a rapidly evolving jobmarket, particularly in today's digital age.
Firstly, many competency-based jobs requirecandidates to have a strong foundation ininterdisciplinary courses. Without this professionalknowledge, individuals may struggle to secure adecent job in the competitive labor market even if they have strong decision-making skills and work ethics. This is especially true in fields like frontier science, where research often involves multiple academic disciplines. Secondly, digital literacy, which is not always obtained athome, is increasingly essential for employabilityand innovation. Hence, individuals who lack thability to create and evaluate information on digital platforms are at a significant disadvantage. They may find themselvesrelegated to unemployment or low-skill jobs that are increasingly susceptible to automationdue to artificial intelligence.
Inconclusion, both family values and formal education are essential for future success. While corevalues instill resilience and ethicaldecision-making, specificized knowledge and digital literacy equip individuals for competitive job markets. Together, these elements create a solid foundation for personal growth and professional attainment in an ever-changing world.
