AP课程申请加拿大大学要学吗？

美国的顶级私校和少量高排名公校对学生教育十分个性化，进入到高中阶段，学生可以根据个人大学目标和学习能力而选择最大程度挑战自己的课程，从regular，到honor，到AP，到post-AP，到大学（夏校）学分课程应有尽有，更有顶级私校使用本校研发的更具难度和创新理念的课程体系给教育局批准后培养学生。从而在学生申请大学时，能最大可能向大学展示自身的学术成就和潜力。

如果说post-AP和顶私研发课程不是非常accessible，那么AP就成为了最受欢迎的高难度课程。也对学生进入大学一年级后的weighted GPA 和accumulative GPA强有力的保障。

与美国相比，加拿大的大学现在正面临“招生困境”。因为如果只看申请者12年级6门4u或4m成绩高分者云集，而大学绝对无法分辨哪些是真正能够胜任该大学和专业的学生。

于是对于热门专业工程、健康科学、和商科，在普通OUAC申请之外还会要求学生提交补充文书AIF来考察学生思辨能力和认知积累，外加面试再筛选一轮同时考察性格和专业课知识。

上面加拿大大学对于AP课程的态度更多是出于学生录取后是否能在大学表现优秀的考量。大一是学生面对全新学习环境，教授教学方法迅速转型时期，同时该时期要尽快适应，否则会直接影响是否能申请coop机会，大二/大三进入专业课学习还是被迫转专业的选择，同时对于有申请研究生等学生直接与累计gpa相连。

而AP能帮助学生无缝衔接大一课程，如果高中阶段体系修过AP学分课程（有远见）且掌握得很扎实则可以考虑换取学分再修其他课程，这样累计gpa更高。
